About this Pattern
● Crochet Terminology: US Terms
● Pattern Language: English
The PDF pattern includes detailed instructions on everything you need to know to crochet a fun bird (or rather birb) gang, which consists of these five members:
- Groovy - the Groove-billed Ani
- Pengu - the King Penguin
- Jale - the Blue Jay
- Tanpa - the Paradise Tanager
- Buntie - the Snow Bunting
The pattern can be followed step-by-step and is accompanied by photos for all the trickier parts.
Next to the written pattern, the PDF includes a list of all needed materials & tools, a table of all stitch types/abbreviations required for this pattern, and also a tutorial section with detailed explanations for some of the more unusual used stitches and techniques. The exact yarn colors & skein amounts I used are also included in the pattern.
About the finished Birbs
With the hook size (4mm) and yarn type (aran weight) I’m using, each final birb is around 11cm long, 10cm tall, and 8cm wide (always measured at the widest part, but excluding the wing span).
