Pattern Inspiration
The Kappa (jap. 河童 | かっぱ) creature derives from Japanese mythology - the name translates to « river child ». It‘s said that they dwell in aquatic environments such as ponds and rivers. The dent in their head is called sara (jap. 皿 | さら). It’s filled with water from their home and represents the vitality of the Kappa, so make sure it doesn‘t get spilled. They love cucumber!
